A computational biologist and Group Leader of the Infectious Disease Epidemiology group at KAUST. His research is on the genomic epidemiology and evolution of antimicrobial resistance in bacterial pathogens. His work primarily focuses on using machine learning and large-scale genomic data to track the spread of drug-resistant infections and improve clinical diagnostics.
