  1. Learn the principles of Oxford Nanopore sequencing and its advantages.<\/span><\/li>
  2. Prepare and quality-check metagenomic DNA\/RNA samples.<\/span><\/li>
  3. \u00a0Operate MinION\/Flongle and monitor sequencing runs.<\/span><\/li>
  4. \u00a0Perform basecalling and convert signals to sequences.<\/span><\/li>
  5. Conduct taxonomic classification, assembly, and functional annotation.<\/span><\/li>
  6. Troubleshoot and optimize sequencing and analysis steps.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

        Dr. Liliane\u00a0Okdah\u00a0is a Senior Genomics and Molecular Microbiology Applications Scientist with extensive international experience spanning industry, clinical research, and academia. She currently supports advanced sequencing technologies across the EMEA region, with a strong focus on next-generation sequencing platforms, antimicrobial resistance surveillance, and laboratory workflow optimization.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

        Dr. Okdah holds a PhD in Human Pathology and Infectious Diseases from Aix-Marseille University and has contributed to over 20 peer-reviewed publications in leading scientific journals. Her career combines deep technical expertise with practical field application, including roles at Illumina, Oxford Nanopore Technologies, and major research institutions in Saudi Arabia.
