The National Center for the development of the non-profit sector has approved the establishment of the metagenome and microbiome association under the supervision of King Abdulaziz City for science and technology.The metagenome and microbiome society, being the first Society in this field, seeks to be a specialized platform and reference that supports scientific and medical development in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in line with the kingdom's future and ambitious Vision 2030, which focuses on promoting scientific research and innovation in vital fields.One of the most prominent goals of the association is to build a comprehensive database of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in the kingdom, as well as to develop the ability to predict and prevent infectious diseases before their spread, in addition to raising public community awareness Organizing events, workshops and supporting public health initiatives.The members of the board of Directors of the association consist of a distinguished elite of scientists and doctors, led by Dr. The chairman of the board of directors and the membership of each of: Dr. Saeed Al Amoudi and Dr. Nizar bahbari and Dr. Susan Elzer and Dr.Mi Elzir.
